Wachira Sparkling Wine

The Lion of our #winesafari is a very tasty sparkling white from California with delicate bubbles; the effervescence is not overwhelming. The best part is its distinctive aroma at the first nose. Hints of candied apples and tangerines! Really ripe fruit with a good bit of lemon peel, pear, raspberries, and red cherries.

Wachira Cabernet Sauvignon

The Rhino of our #winesafari. It is a light-bodied Cabernet, bottled young, with grapes from three wine regions in California – Napa, Lodi, and Paso Robles. With its soft integrated tannins, this wine is incredibly well-balanced. Youthful and fruit-forward in presentation, you get blueberry and blackberry notes on the palate and hints of black raspberry crumble, vanilla, and cocoa on the nose.

Wachira Black Label Chardonnay

The Buffalo of our #winesafari. This is not your typical buttery, oaky, styled Chardonnay from California. Our love of blending resulted in a marriage of exceptional fruit aromas with carefully balanced acidity capturing the best qualities of the cool Central Valley regions of California. Warm pear, green apple, peach, butterscotch, and ripe banana, as well as citrus notes, tinged with the scent of baking spice and toasted oak are highlighted in this crisp Chardonnay. Structurally solid, this wine has a lot of great components to it.

Lodi

Grapes are at the heart of Lodi’s history. They thrive in the perfect blend of temperate climate and loamy soil, a heavenly match that earned the region the name Lodi Appellation in 1986, and Wine Region of the Year in 2015.Widely known as the Zinfandel Capital of the World, Lodi is making headlines with a diverse portfolio of unique Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and Rhone-Style varietals that reminds you of the quality wines of Europe with a little more distinction.

Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara County is home to some of the most exciting Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah in California. Much of that success is thanks to a geological oddity: Coastal valleys that run west to east (as opposed to north to south), and serve as superhighways for chilly ocean air. Combine that with a wonderfully varied terrain, complex terroirs, and a passionate community of grape growers and winemakers, and it's no wonder that Santa Barbara County — and its appellations of Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Maria Valley, Sta. Rita Hills, Happy Canyon, and Ballard Canyon — is so popular among consumers and respected among professionals.

Paso Robles

Paso Robles American Viticultural Area (AVA) takes in a sprawling landscape of rolling hills, rugged mountainsides, and Pacific Ocean coastline. The area is so large and diverse that it encompasses 11 sub-appellations, all of them unique and exciting in their own way. Sun- and heat-loving Zinfandel was Paso's primary calling card, and many of the state's best are still found here. But a second wave of wine production in the region saw Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon come to prominence. Rhône-style wines are also deservedly respected here, with Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre shining with particular brightness, as well as Viognier and other white-Rhône blends. In the southwest of the region, the fog and Pacific breezes coming through the Templeton Gap moderate temperatures, which afford cool-climate varieties like Pinot Noir to achieve impressive heights

Mendocino

Mendocino County's geographical and climatic diversity produce a variety of grape varietals that makes it an attractive wine-producing region. Mendocino Country wines are becoming more popular for many tastes - white wines, red wines, and even some sparkling wine. The white variety makes up roughly 40% of the production and includes delicious options like Sauvignon Blanc. Grape vines that have been planted here mostly consist of red varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Syrah. Mendocino produces Pinot Noir, still and sparkling, in the cooler natural sites. These grapes have specific growing requirements requiring more warmth but Mendocino's climate can provide for them

Napa

The grape varieties grown in Napa have changed a lot over the last 150 years. These days, you can find over 200 different types of grapes there. Cabernet Sauvignon has risen confidently to become Napa's star performer and is the most widely planted grape in almost all of the valley's subregions. One notable exception to this rule is Los Carneros, whose cooler mesoclimate suits Chardonnay or Pinot Noir very well. Some people claim that Merlot is coming back into the wine world since it was so popular. Today, people usually use it as a blending component for Napa wines and Bordeaux blends
